Kalmar Airport, SAS and BRA cooperate for more biofuel flights to Stockholm
In Sweden, Kalmar Airport and airlines have agreed on a cooperation to meet a 5% biofuel target in 2019 for all domestic flights from Kalmar to Stockholm. Under the agreement, airlines SAS and BRA will pay for 50% of the additional cost of the biofuel, while Kalmar Airport (250 000 passengers per year) covers the remaining half. The 80 tonnes of biofuel required for the flights will be supplied by Air BP. SAS has pledged to use renewable fuel on all domestic flights by 2030.
